In areas of Indonesia that are now recovering from natural disasters and years of fighting, long-lasting peace is dependent upon the adults and younger generations developing new skills and livelihoods. BBF sees great opportunity to seize on the new hope brought about by peace and provide tremendous impact with basic education, adult education, literacy, and small business management programs.

Program Highlights

• High School Scholarships for girls in post-conflict areas of Aceh
• Small business management training, financial literacy, and adult education

Education Programs

• Provides 13-year-old girls, who are in the top of their class, the opportunity to continue their education by attending high school
• $500 annual scholarship provides for room, board, clothing, books, and travel expenses
• Adult education and financial literacy, provided in conjunction with other BBF programs and also as a stand-alone program, trains men and women for success in managing their business and personal finances
