Building Bridges to the Future Logo

"Building Bridges was almost the first organization to reach Lamno in March 2005 and has shown its commitment and dedication to helping the tsunami affected people in Lamno."

— Jadal Husaini, Head of Lamno Sub-District in Aceh Jaya

BBF trained women in the villages of Rumpet and Mansarayup to become experts in the raising and selling of mushrooms. They became so adept at this enterprise that their projects are now entirely economically and environmentally self-sufficient—a true mark of our program's success.

These entrepreneurs are now so successful that they no longer need our assistance. They are the experts now! In fact, their production is so consistent and receptive to the local market that BBF no longer needs to initiate further mushroom programs in these locations. BBF congratulates the women of Rumpet and Mansarayup for their hard work and well-earned success!
